The Works, a discount retailer of arts & crafts, books, toys and stationery will opened the doors of its brand new store at North Point Shopping Centre on Friday, 22 June 2018.
The Works, which has more than 450 stores across the UK stocks a huge range of discounted art and craft materials, stationery, books, games and gifts. The Works has delivered eleven years of consecutive growth and has been driving an on-going expansion programme across the country, bucking the trend that has seen a number of retailers closing stores.
This will be the second store for The Works in the city of Hull with the new team welcoming customers through the doors from 9am - as soon as the centre opens. The Works has invested substantially in the new premises to bring customers the latest store design and brand-new store format. The opening has created eight new jobs in the local area with the store expecting to take on even more staff in the run up to the busy Christmas period.
Kevin Keaney, CEO of The Works said: “Hull is a very important location for us and we have worked hard to bring our customers what we are confident is a fantastic store with a huge range of products at amazing value.”
“Our business continues to go from strength to strength, opening stores when other retailers are closing them. We’ve already enjoyed great success in Hull and we’re delighted to be opening a new store. We will continue to work hard delivering a great shopping experience to all our customers.”
North Point Shopping Centre Manager, Louise Smith, says: “We’re thrilled to welcome The Works to the Centre. It’s great that they’ve chosen North Point to house their latest store in Hull. The store cements the Centre’s reputation as a key shopping and community destination for our visitors. We wish The Works all the best for many years of success to come.”
